CHS photojournalism, newspaper, broadcast journalism, and yearbook classes competed in the 2019 New Mexico Scholastic Press Association State competition on Saturday, January 26th at Centennial High School. With a combined effort from all media students, the Hawks won the blue trophy for the second year in a row. Centennial Student News along with Hawk Productions (film) will head to the Student Television Network Conference in March to complete at nationals.

Luke Tumblin, Sam Garcia-Bryce, Gus Sanchez and Davin Lee take 2nd place in the Student Television Network Fall National Contest. The team had 6 days to produce their film based on the prompt, “Do the Math.” Congratulations to the team.

Welcome to your 2018-19 school year. After the whirlwind of summer and the first few weeks of school, you may have noticed the many different and exciting changes. One of those changes is to The Quill. We worked hard last year producing great content and making sure we became a recognizable organization thanks to our amazing Quill staff. As it was our first year, we experienced many different challenges in producing this student-led newspaper. This year, we have decided to look forward and change the dynamic of The Quill. We are now a web based newspaper!
Centennial High School’s Lady Hawk soccer team is ranked 24 in the nation by USA Today. Their season record is 15-0-0.
Centennial High School hosted its annual Academic Awards Ceremony last night in the CHS gym.
